Welcome! We're so glad you're here. Brave specializes in providing children, teens, and families with trajectory-changing skills and diagnostic assessment to reach their goals.
Every Brave provider offers evidence-based care across two clinical specialties.
1) Therapy
2) Diagnostic Assessment for ADHD, ASD, and learning differences
We work with anxiety, OCD, selective mutism, challenging behaviors, ADHD, and autism; and guiding parents in delivering actionable steps toward relief and growth; and data driven knowledge for trajectory change.
We use a team-based model: you'll work with one primary provider, supported within a team of doctoral and master's-level clinicians with deep expertise in anxiety and child development.
You get one consistent relationship with expert-led care throughout. We include parents as part of treatment, because you are a key player in your child's progress. We offer groups, community sessions, school based support and intensive treatment sessions. We believe prioritizing your family's mental health should be approachable, measurable, and fun.
Our first step together is the diagnostic intake process.
We'll make sure Brave Seattle is the right fit, assess your child's needs, and give you a treatment or assessment plan for care.
Before that first session, the secure portal lets you review our practice policies and share some basic information. It takes about 5–20 minutes.
If you are seeking assessment for ADHD, ASD, or other concerns we will send you a detailed assessment screener before the first session.
If you need to step away before you finish, use the link in your email to return and begin again.
We believe deeply in providing the best expert therapy and assessment leading first with evidence based decisions led by you and your clinical team, not leaving clinician decisions to insurance corporations.
Brave is an out-of-network, insurance-friendly practice. We don't bill insurance directly, but we provide the documentation you need to seek reimbursement from your plan.
Fees:
Therapy fees range from $180 to $330 per clinical hour, depending on your provider.
Diagnostic assessments are prorated based on $180 to $330 per hour. Clinical hours needed are determined by your assessment team after screeners are completed and range a total cost of $2500 - $5,500. The cost could be higher depending on number of hours involved.
We will advocate along side you in seeking reimbursement by empowering you with knowledge. Our insurance booklet has tips for getting the most out of your out-of-network benefits: https://www.braveseattle.com/insurance

Our intake process ensures that your goals and child's unique challenges and strengths are supported in the assessment or treatment plan depending on your current concerns.
A typical therapy intake includes the following:
Step 1 virtual intake: An initial virtual parent only meeting to discuss your child's background and goals, determine fit, and establish a tailored evaluation plan.
Step 2 in-person assessment: in-person observation or specific assessment tools to evaluate your child's developmental skills and clinical needs.
Step 3 feedback: A review of diagnoses and recommendations, available in-person or via telehealth, with flexible options for child attendance depending upon their age and individual needs.
For those seeking assessments related to developmental differences, IQ, ADHD, learning differences, our team will contact you with additional first steps before the virtual intake; the second session typically includes standardized testing alongside clinical observations.
For medical emergencies, contact your healthcare provider or call 911. For mental health crises, call or text 988.
